Each of our tradesmen and women is subjected to an enhanced DBS check which ensures they come to your home, or business premises, fully covered with comprehensive criminal record checks for your peace of mind. We have extensive Public and Employer Liability Insurance (PLI & ELI) cover in place.
Our People
From the beginning, we have aimed to employ people who share our values of reliability; integrity; trustworthiness and transparency. That’s why we have recruited a team with early careers in the armed forces, blue light emergency services (police, fire and ambulance) and NHS services… people who are committed to delivering outstanding public service on behalf of wider society. We have worked closely with organisations like Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Services and North West Ambulance services, as well as charities and other organisations supporting retired officers as well as former armed forces personnel to recruit the very best tradesmen and women multi-skilled operatives for My Odd Job Guys. Each member of the team is DBS checked, Health and Safety trained and will be wearing all appropriate personal protective equipment for the job.

While we are not a provider of emergency works, we understand if something goes wrong around your home or office, time is an important factor to ensure that you are back up and running with as little downtime as possible. Derek Wall
Managing Director
Hands-on and always eager to help, Derek is our Managing Director and in charge of all client relationships here at My Odd Job Guys.
Having spent most of his working life either serving in the Royal Navy he did tours in UAE and The British Falkand Islands, on leaving the military Derek worked as part of Land Rover’s Power Train, before moving to be head of planned maintenance at Reactfast, before relocating to Liverpool where he joined OpenReach as part of a drive to recruit ex forces to deliver and install super fast broadband.
Derek embodies everything we value at My Odd Job Guys, he is meticulous in his attention to detail and goes the extra mile to ensure his clients are happy with every job.
